Anthony Denaro a.k.a Y-Not, was born and raised in New Jersey, currently residing in Philadelphia. Y-Not has been dancing since 1997, traveling to New York to attend events and learn as much about the dance as possible. Learning the essence of the dance has brought him respect from his peers and acknowledgement from legends such as Crazy Legs of the Rock Steady Crew. In 2004, Y-Not was asked to be a part of Rock Steady Crew.

From this point on, many doors began to open for him, allowing him to experience great growth as a dancer through training, traveling, battling, and performing with his crew. He attributes his success to the mentoring from members in his crew such as, Crazy Legs, Mr. Wiggles, and Pop Master Fabel.

Y-Not has also gained success as an established graphic designer. He received his Bachelors degree in Computer Science in 2003. He was inspired to design from looking at the art on the covers of the records he would see. Y-Not has a great love for music, he has always been on the search for records that make him want to dance. He has been schooled by his partner DJ Skeme Richards to learn the art of DJing and how to keep dance floors packed! Y-Not feels that the key to learning about BBoy culture is in the music.

Overall, Y-Not has molded himself into a very unique B-Boy, who portrays the true essence of his craft as he finds himself at home in the cipher, dancing in complete harmony with music, delivering funk, soul, skill, finesse, and rawness through his movement. And through his humble nature, sincerely desiring to teach and inspire others, he has become a very influential figure in this generation of B-Boy culture.
