Garth Baadjies aka Turbo, hails from Kuilsriver, Cape Town, but now forms part of the Tribal Click crew in Johannesburg. The winner of last year's Solo Pro Battle, Garth won a trip to watch Red Bull BC One live in Sao Paulo. He believes he has what it takes to compete in this international event.

Turbo started B-Boying back in 1997, by doing some backflips with a couple of friends. From there they started to teach him windmills and showing him their style. “It was a great introduction into the world of breaking," he says.

Turbo’s signature moves? “I would say the Split Airchair, King Spin and my Nineties. It’s all about being confident in your moves, making your style strong enough to stand up to the most powerful dancers.”
