Samuel Conradie, aka B-Boy Sam, hails from Mitchells Plain, Cape Town and started his breaking career in 2003.

Known for his combination of style and power, Sam has participated in a number of local breaking contests, recently winning the Youth Day Liberty Cup.

"I started breaking four years ago to keep myself away from the harm of the streets," Sam says. "I've watched a lot of my friends fall into the trap of alcohol and drugs and I refused to go the same way."

Sam's signature move, the Hollow Back Freeze, complements his fancy footwork and unique style combinations and he is sure to fare well in the Red Bull BC One National Qualifier.
