Barry Goetham, known to most as Lil Flex, was born in Belmar, Cape Town and started B-Boying in 1999 after a B-Boy at his school, Shaun, got him interested in the dance form.

Citing his signature moves as the Elbow Chair, Reverse 90, Twisted Leg Lock and Fireball, Lil Flex is acclaimed for throwing his opponents off balance with his classic B-Boy style, giving them little time to think before their round.

"Consistency is vital for me," says Barry. "You need to land all your moves, all the time. I concentrate on that and it's what gets me through to the final rounds."
