Profile
Only 17 years old, Gengis Ademoski aka LIL CENG (pronounced Lil’ Tscheng/Cheng) is one of the most talented dancers in the worldwide B-Boy scene. He specializes in power moves, but also practices top-rocks, foot-work and in addition, dance styles like popping, locking, new style, and house. In spite of his young age, he continually astounds spectators with his clean, dynamic, and stylish power sets. His signature moves are chair-twist combinations and flare-variations.
LIL CENG is the youngest member of the Berlin based Flying Steps Crew and is said to be one of the most talented up-and-coming power-move B-Boys. He will be participating in the Red Bull BC One for the second time this year. He battled in the Red Bull BC One in Sao Paulo 2 years ago, but unfortunately lost in the first round to the champion Hong 10. Now LIL CENG will be back for more. He is practicing hard for the Red Bull BC One 2008, in order to show how much he has improved during the last two years. He promises to amaze the audience!
LIL CENG was born in Germany and grew up with his mother and his older brother, Elviz, in Saarbrücken. Their family roots are from the Turkish speaking part of Macedonia. His mom has become familiar with the breaking scene through her sons and she heartily encourages them. Elviz is also a member of Style Crax.
LIL CENG discovered breaking at the age of 10 while roaming the streets of Saarbrücken with his cousin. When he saw breakers doing a street show, he immediately knew that was what he wanted to do, something challenging, something to be proud of. He loved the dance from the start and always practiced very hard. At first, LIL CENG actually wanted to name himself “Killah”, but his crew mate and mentor Shaq said: “You’re a killer, all right, but you are a little killer.” So they started calling him LIL CENG, a nickname derived from his given name, Gengis.
Benny Kimoto of the Flying Steps has always been a role model for LIL CENG, as he saw Flying Steps on television and internet, when he was a kid. He met Benny at several B-Boy events and they became good friends. In 2007, LIL CENG participated at the Red Bull Beat Battle with Flying Steps and they won the competition. Shortly after this, he became a full member of the crew. They are really proud of their youngest dancer!
The relationship with his crew is very important to LIL CENG. They are his friends and family and also his biggest inspiration. They not only teach him about breaking, but everything about Hip Hop culture as well. Apart from the members of Flying Steps, Style Crax and Kingsize Crew, he was inspired by Tuff-Kid from Switzerland, Ronnie Ruen from LA, and Benji from France. His goal is to travel the world, rock the floor, have fun and win as many battles as possible.
In addition to dancing, LIL CENG plays various sports, jogs, and likes to run forest obstacle courses. He just finished school and works hard on his career as a professional dancer in the Flying Steps crew.
