Oleksandr Babkin aka B-Boy KOLOBOK started breaking in 2002 and dancing has been his priority ever since. Being able to control your body and show your personality are the reasons why he chose breaking. Kolobok dances the flexible style and is known for his original freezes and spins.

Soon after KOLOBOK started breaking, he met B-Boy Robin at a jam, who was the best Ukrainian B-Boy at the time. Robin battled him and seemed to like what he saw, because when he founded the “East Side B-Boys,” he asked KOLOBOK to be a member of the crew.

The East Side B-Boys were a crew consisting of the eight best Ukrainian B-Boys. After Robin and Flying Buddha went to St. Petersburg, Russia, to do a show with “Top 9” they decided to live there. The other members are still rocking the East Side B-Boys in Ukraine, now one of the best crews in Europe.

For KOLOBOK a good B-Boy is someone who has originality and knowledge of the foundation. In addition to Robin and the East Side B-Boys, B-Boy Benji of Division Alpha inspired him to be original and always try new incredible moves.

KOLOBOK is a dancer through and through. He makes a living giving workshops, battling, judging and performing. With his crew he is working on a B-Boy show that will travel internationally, showcasing the style and the skills of Ukrainian B-Boys.

KOLOBOK lives in Artemovsk, a very small city, where Hip Hop has just started, but in the Ukraine, B-Boying has already gotten big. They have many crazy B-Boys and some really good crews. KOLOBOK practices every day with some excellent dancers from his hometown.

Artemovsk is so small; it doesn’t offer many possibilities for youth. “In my city you can only be a worker or do nothing. Many people do drugs, but we have B-Boying, something we love, so that gives our lives meaning. Many great inspiring people came into my life through B-Boying.” KOLOBOK’s mother always supported him in his B-Boy ambitions. She really likes what he does and enjoys it very much when her son shows her new moves that he created.

KOLOBOK can’t wait to battle at the RED BULL BC ONE in Paris. He expects to gain a lot of experience and is looking forward to proving himself at such a prestigious event. “I am going to do my best and kill it at the RED BULL BC ONE, to show the world that Ukrainian B-Boys are a force to reckon with!”
