Profile
Fei Fei Chong aka B-Boy DRUNK from Hong Kong is the winner of the RED BULL BC ONE Qualifier in Taiwan. He was brought up with a traditional Chinese cultural background. The Chinese martial arts “Wu Shu” and “Kung Fu” directly affect his dance style and his thoughts.

About six years ago, B-Boy DRUNK was walking the streets of Hong Kong when he saw B-Boys dancing on the sidewalk. He stopped in his tracks, mesmerized, and immediately knew that was what he wanted to do. He started practicing right away. DRUNK is self-taught. In the beginning, he learnt by watching videos and later, on by conversing with other B-Boys.

B-Boy DRUNK has a unique style—the Drunk Style. Chinese DJ “Fat Kid” named him B-Boy DRUNK because of his toprock style, a style that he said resembled a drunken man dancing. His signature move is the “Drunk Man Walk.”

DRUNK is a wholly dedicated B-Boy. Breaking is all he is interested in. To him Hip Hop is a lifestyle and a religion. “It teaches you persistence and brings out the best in you!” DRUNK is a “full-time” B-Boy. He makes his money from cash prizes at competitions, through performances and by teaching. His goal is to participate in every known national and international B-Boy competition.

DRUNK thinks that Hip Hop culture is developing more slowly in his country than in other countries, but the scene is getting more and more support from commercial organizations and he is optimistic about the future of Hip Hop in China.

He has the full support of his family in pursuing his dream. “They don’t really know what ‘Breaking’ is, but they supported me from the start!”

DRUNK doesn’t go into battles with any particular strategy. He believes in himself and in his power and uniqueness. In his opinion what it takes to be a good dancer is to have fun, practice a lot and carefully think about whom you want to be and how you want to represent. He believes that you can’t judge a B-Boy from watching him in videos, and that you can only truly understand him when you see him in a battle.

He is looking forward to the RED BULL BC ONE in South Africa and preparing with great enthusiasm to battle the best B-Boys in the world this September. Look out for B-Boy DRUNK!
