Duane Lawrence, known as "Breeder" in Hip Hop circles, has been in the breaking scene since 1995, when he noticed the dynamic dancers of the Cape Flats and the international B-Boys in music videos.

With interests in MCing, Capoeira, and drumming, Duane is quite the all-rounder, also hosting his own Hip Hop events and teaching dance classes during the week.

It is through his investment in Hip Hop that Duane got his B-Boy name, "breeding" future breakers with his knowledge of the culture. Breeder is also presently recording his first solo album and occasionally tries his hand at graffiti and DJing.

"I think I’m pretty flowing and original," Duane says. "I like to keep it African—that’s my style."
