We had the dopest experience today! We visited the secret bunker at the Cold War Museum, located 18 floors!!! beneath Moscow in the Taganskaya area. In the old days, this 75,000-square-foot facility buried 200 feed underground was known as the Tagansky Underground Command Center. Built in 1951, this super-secret bunker served as the command post, the main artery for communication, for the Soviet Union in the event of a nuclear war.
As the B-Boys explored the tunnels and challenged each other to battles, the Moscow Metro rattling in higher tunnels above their heads filled the concrete passageways with groaning noisy sounds. The film team crew shot amazing footage down there and you can look forward to a really really dope clip!!! I know you've been waiting for one!
Now off to bed - tomorrow busy press day!!!!
Peace

Today a few of us went to the Red Square. First, of course, some of the guys needed to buy gloves, hats, and earmuffs.... On the Red Square lots of people wanted to get a photo with Machine, they might have thought he was a famous rapper or something. Lagaet also didn't take long to find some fans. :)
Oh and by the way--B-Boy Machine and B-Girl Sarah Smallz are expecting a B-Baby!!! Congrats guys!!!!
It was pretty cold, but we had lots of fun. 3T, who is used a warmer climate from Vietnam, couldn't feel his hands anymore after a while. Johnjay's face was frozen and we couldn't get our chica from Venezuela away from the hot air vent when we went down to the subway.
The Moscow Metro is big and beautiful. It is the second most used subway on earth, right after the one in Tokyo. The guys warmed up, had dinner, and now they are in the pracitice room. I heard, Soso, Lilou, Mounir, Morris and Niek arrived, so I'll go and check it out!
More tomorrow!

This morning, after taking a skeptical look at the grey sky out of my hotel room crib, I took a little tour around the place. It’s a really dope hotel and the food is excellent! That round thingy you see from the outside is actually the dining room.
We had a first meeting with the guys that are already here at noon in the practice room. And after the meeting, while Thesis, Lil G, and El Niño were sharing some moves, I had a little chat with Rox and Buddha about their practice routines and about how they feel being back at the Red Bull BC One.
Roxrite: “I am totally exited about being back. I actually haven’t done a 1-on-1 battle in about a year and I practiced really hard for it. In September and August, I did a lot of cross fit, you know, where you practice in a circle in the gym but very fast without pauses in between. Also breaking of course, but then from September on—strictly breaking. I did a lot to get my stamina up. I can’t tell you exactly how I am training, cuz you know, you gotta have your secrets—he laughs—but I can tell you this much: Within the last 5 days I did like 80 full battle rounds! I don’t know if I will really profit from all my training right now, or later, maybe next year, when I’ll be back full on in the battle zone, but right now, right here, I am already in great shape and I will go for the win!”
Flying Buddha: “I am really happy the event is in Russia this year! I mean it was great when I battled in the Red Bull BC One in New York, the city being the birthplace of Hip Hop and all, but this year, it’s on MY turf! My people will be here to cheer me on and that will give me crazy energy!!! I didn’t really change my practice routine for the event. I did a lot of shows lately, with my crew and as a duo with Sonic. So with rehearsals and the shows and the practice times with my crew, I think I will be fine. I don’t feel I should change my routines. When I was younger I would practice like crazy to get a move the way I wanted it, but now I have my stuff down. I don’t want to drive myself crazy or get over exited because then I might get to tense. Just relax and have fun. I know I can do it, I have a good chance this year in my city!”
And again, for the ones who didn't get it yet--Thesis is back-up!
We left Montpellier this morning and arrived in Moscow tonight. And yes! It's coooold!
The trip was uneventful apart from the fact that Lamine left his notebook at the security check! :( Sorry bro! He's an organized B-Boy, so he has all his data secured and his photos on an external drive. Good boy!
The hotel is beautiful, we even got a gym, sauna, and pool. I met Lagaet at dinner, his knee is better, but still causing little problems, but he seems very positive. That's it for tonight, more tomorrow.
The Red Bull BC One week has officially started!
Yeeeeehaaaaaw!!!!!!
To answer your questions: Thesis is back-up. He was already in Moscow and agreed to hang with us and jump in in case one of the guys gets hurt and won't be able to compete.
To those of you who didn't know yet, YES! Of course there will be a live stream again this year! Just come to our website, where you will be able to watch the battle from Moscow live and discuss it with others. The regular website will be offline for the duration of the event and might take a little while afterwards to go back to normal.
But now: Check out the Trailer!!!
Peace!
And before everybody asks what time it will be streamed in their country, please check the web, like here: www.planetarytime.com or here: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
I am not your personal assistant! :)
