The Floor is open: A sneak peek at the dancer selection for the 2009 Red Bull BC One
Hammerstein Ballroom and NYC Await the Competition
(NEW YORK) – The venue is locked, the backdrop is priceless and the city that never sleeps waits to mark a new chapter in Hip Hop history with the arrival of Red Bull BC One on November 18th at Hammerstein Ballroom in the heart of New York City. The big question has been – who will descend upon the Big Apple for the premier one-on-one global B-Boy competition?
The complete and official line-up is still under wraps for a few weeks but there will definitely be some veterans around to ‘prove their salt.’ Wing from Korea will defend his title and Lilou, a previous Red Bull BC One Champion, will be back after a short hiatus with a few tricks up his sleeve as he tries to claim the title for France. Some new comers on the floor will include Neguin from Sao Paulo and Lagaet from Portugal. But what other powerhouses from Brazil, Asia, Europe, Latin and North America will be rounding out the final 16? The complete official announcement will appear on www.redbullbcone.com next month.
This is the time for the best in the world to stage their talent. With the skill set of these dancers, it’s certain the 2009 Red Bull BC One title is up for contention. The judges will be tough and the crowd boisterous. It’s up for grabs who will make history in New York City. The only thing we know for sure is that the past is the past and it’s a blank slate at Hammerstein Ballroom on the night of November 18th as 16 of the best dancers in the world compete for a chance to be “the ONE”—Red Bull BC One Champion.
Check for more, announcements, videos, as well as selection of more dancers to the Red Bull BC One in NYC in the coming weeks!
