B-Boy Winner of the Red Bull BC One Qatar Cypher To Take Part in Egypt’s Regional Qualifiers
B-Boy Lil Salah emerged victorious in front of 4000 Spectators

Doha, 5 May 2012 – Last night, B-Boy Lil Salah had the audience on its feet at Doha’s The Pearl Qatar, La Croisette 2 and his energetic performance earned him a chance to compete in the Red Bull BC One World Final in Brazil this December. Red Bull Breaking has been hosting electrifying regional breaking battles since 2010, and for the first time, this year sees it reach a global platform and merge with the prestigious Red Bull BC One 2012 international contest.
The struggle for the much-coveted world championship began with national cyphers, and on 4 May, B-Boy Lil Salah battled it out with 15 of Qatar’s finest B-Boys in front of 4000 spectators, winning the opportunity to represent his country in Egypt’s regional qualifier this September. After being crowned regional winner, the talented B-Boy will then head to Rio de Janeiro where his breaking skills will be put to the ultimate test at the global finals.
Sponsored by Virgin Megastore, the intense five-stage Qatar Cypher saw 16 B-Boys fight for the title. Once eight had progressed to the second round, four went through to the quarter-finals, followed by two to the semi-finals and finally, one chosen winner. Performing to the upbeat tunes of the renowned DJ Tee, B-Boy Lil Salah‘s jaw-dropping freestyle routine replete with a clean execution of footwork and immaculate coordination wowed the crowd and quickly won over breaking  maestros, judges B-Boy Ronnie, B-Boy Lamine and B-Boy Neguin.

The judges were overwhelmingly impressed by B-Boy Lil Salah’s rhythm and flexibility and found that he perfectly adhered to the cypher’s three main criteria: technique, innovation and dance flow.

“I’m so honored to have won! It was a tight competition but I gave it my all to demonstrate creative and exceptional breaking abilities that show the utmost potential of my body movements,” said B-Boy Lil Salah. “I tried my best to interpret the music with unique combinations and cutting-edge style and look forward to flying the Qatari flag at the regional qualifier. After all, this is the most important breaking competition in the world and this local cypher was just the beginning. I am vying for the title of world champion!”

With over 60 local cyphers currently taking place all over the world (and a staggering 13 being held in the region), a wide range of elite B-Boys will be trying to break their way into the six continental qualifiers hosted in Mexico, the USA, the Netherlands, Russia, Egypt and New Zealand. From there, the six regional winners and 10 other luminaries of the breaking scene (selected by a team of experts) will each have to dominate in the 16 B-Boy worldwide finals in Brazil.

Bringing together the crème de crème in breaking, the Red Bull BC One World Final is the year’s most highly-anticipated competition and promises to bring the heat in a vibrant fusion of adrenalin-fueled performances packed with fancy footwork and off-the-wall moves.

منافسات الـ"بريك دانس" بلغت مستويات غير مسبوقة مع "ريد بُل بي سي وان"

وبي بوي ليل صلاح يفوز أمام 4000 متفرّج

بعد عروض فريدة وأداء مميز أذهل أكثر من 4000 شخص في لاكروازيت في اللؤلؤة – قطر مساء الجمعة، نجح بي بوي ليل صلاح في خطف اللقب المحلي لبطولة "ريد بُل بي سي وان" في الـ"بريك دانس"، ليتأهل بالتالي الى النهائيات الإقليمية في مصر.

مسابقة "ريد بُل بي سي وان" التي زارت قطر للمرة الأولى في إطار جولات التصفية في المنطقة، جاءت بعد عامَين من منافسات "ريد بُل بريكينغ" لتؤكد تطور المستوى المحلي لهذا النوع من الرقص. وقد استطاع بي بوي ليل صلاح التفوق على بي بوي حكّومي في المواجهة الختامية بعدما تخطى بقية منافسيه مرحلة تلو الأخرى، لينتزع حق تمثيل قطر في النهائيات الإقليمية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا التي تحتضنها القاهرة.

وقد عكست البطولة التي أقيمت بالتعاون مع فيرجن ميجا ستور مستويات غير مسبوقة محلياً من الأداء الشبابي الراقص، وأكدت أنَّ الـ"بي بويز" القطريين والعرب يستحقون عن جدارة خوض منافسات "ريد بُل بي سي وان". ولم يقتصر الحماس على المواجهة النهائية المميزة التي تخللتها لقطات مذهلة نالت إعجاب الجمهور وتقدير لجنة الحكم، بل كان حاضراً في كل الجولات منذ انطلاقها. وقد هتف الحضور ابتهاجاً بالمتنافسين الذين أدوا حركات رشيقة ورقصات جريئة، على إيقاع موسيقى "دي جي تي".

وقد تولت لجنة ضمَّت الـ"بي بويز" العالميين نيغوين ولامين ورونّي التحكيم والفصل في أداء المشاركين. وأجمع الحكام الثلاثة على الأداء المتميِّز للـ"بي بويز" وعلى قدرة البطل القطري على التنافس الجدي على اللقب الإقليمي لمسابقة "ريد بُل بي سي وان" في مصر، وعلى فرصة التأهل للتباري في النهائيات العالمية في البرازيل. ولم يكن رأيُ الحكام العالميين مخالفاً لتطلُّع الـ"بي بوي" البطل الذي أكَّد تصميمه على محاولة انتزاع بطاقة التأهل الى نهائيات البرازيل. وهو أعرب عن فرحته العارمة بالنتيجة التي حققها "بعد مواجهات قوية لم تخلُ من الصعوبة والتحدي مع التمتع في الوقت عينه بالتنافس الشيق والرياضي في ظل أداء رفيع المستوى".

وتشمل تصفيات الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا لمسابقة "ريد بُل بي سي وان" الى قطر ومصر، الكويت وسلطنة عمان والأردن والمملكة العربية السعودية والبحرين ولبنان والإمارات العربية المتحدة والمغرب والسنغال وغانا وساحل العاج. وسيتأهل الفائز من كل من البلدان الثلاثة عشر المشارِكة الى تصفيات القاهرة، حيث سيحظى البطل الإقليمي في نهاية المطاف بفرصة التنافس نهاية العام على اللقب العالمي للمسابقة الأهم في عالم الـ"بريك دانس".

وسينضم الفائز في مصر الى أبطال خمس تصفيات إقليمية ستقام في كل من الولايات المتحدة الأميركية والمكسيك وهولندا وروسيا ونيوزيلاندا. والى الفائزين في المحطات الست، سينضم عشرة من أهم الـ"بي بويز" في العالم الذين سيتم انتقاؤهم من قبل فريق من الخبراء، بحسب سمعتهم وشهرتهم وشخصيتهم وحضورهم على الساحة الدولية. وبذلك ستتكون نخبة من أفضل 16 راقص "بريك" من حول العالم، سيتواجهون في ريو دي جانيرو في بطولة "ريد بُل بي سي وان" التي تعود الى البرازيل للمرة الأولى منذ 2006 في ديسمبر من العام الجاري.
