Red Bull BC One

Santiago, June 9th.- The national finals for one of the most important competitions of B-Boying in the world already has a winner. The 23 year old Mario Labra, aka B-Boy Shucki, a native of Viña del Mar, was crowned Red Bull BC One Cypher Chile 2012 champion. The battle took place at an action-packed free event held this year at the domed La Cúpula theater in Santiago’s Parque O’higgins. More than 1,400 people of all ages attended the event.

More than 200 young dancers from all around Chile signed up for the competition. But B-Boy Shucki was the one who finally conquered the audience and judges with his character-filled freestyle move, his endurance and his attitude, all this despite his hand and leg injuries. Sixteen dancers competed against one another in fifteen battles for the best, but B-Boy Shucki was at the top. Now that he won in Chile, he will go on to the regional finals in Mexico this August with a possibility to compete in Rio de Janeiro along with the world’s other best dancers in an incredible Red Bull BC One Cypher 2012 world final competition.

The whole event was viewed by more than 3,000 people on Red Bull’s chilean site, redbull.cl, which for the first time hosted a live broadcast of the national finals for Red Bull BC One Cypher Chile so that they would be accessible to everyone throughout Chile and the world.

The competition was hosted by Jimmy Fernandez and DJ Web was in charge of music. The judges were the B-Boys Negro Andres, B-Boy Checho ill Ability Crew and B-Boy Ronnie, member of the Red Bull BC One All Star Team.

Santiago, 09 de junio.- La final nacional de una de las competencias más importantes de B-Boying a nivel mundial ya tiene ganador. Se trata del viñamarino de 23 años Mario Labra, alias B-Boy Shucki, quien se coronó campeón de Red Bull BC One Cypher, que este año se llevó a cabo en un encendido evento gratuito en el teatro La Cúpula del Parque O'Higgins. Más de 1.400 personas de todas las edades presenciaron el evento.

Más de 200 jóvenes bailarines de todo el país postularon a esta competencia. Pero fue el B-Boy Shucki quien conquistó al público y al jurado con sus movimientos de freestyle llenos de carácter, fuerza y actitud, a pesar de las lesiones en su mano y pierna. Fueron 15 batallas de baile en las que 16 bailarines se enfrentaron mostrando sus mejores movimientos al ritmo de la música, pero el B-Boy Shucki fue el mejor. Es así como pasará a la final regional que se realizará en México en agosto de este año, teniendo la posibilidad de ir a Río de Janeiro y competir con los mejores bailarines del mundo en una alucinante final mundial de Red Bull BC One Cypher 2012.

Todo este espectáculo fue seguido por más de 3.000 personas a través de la página web Redbull.cl que por primera vez hizo una transmisión en vivo para que la Final Nacional de Red Bull BC One Chile Cypher llegara a todos los rincones del país… y del mundo.

La competencia fue animada por Jimmy Fernández y la música estuvo a cargo de DJ Web. El jurado, fueron los B-boys Negro Andrés, B-Boy Checho ill Ability Crew y el B-boy Ronnie, miembro del Red Bull BC One All Star Team.
