Guide For New Website

If you are used to our old website, this guide should get you started quickly and explain all the features of the new Red Bull BC One page.

B-Boys and User Profiles are now combined
We no longer make a difference between "Official B-Boys" and "User Profiles." You will find all profiles under "B-Boys" -- including your private accounts and all official dancers/judges/DJs/hosts/side acts who participated in events.

Popularity

This is a new profile value to find out who are the most appreciated B-Boys. Your popularity rank will be visible on your profile. B-Boys will be sorted by popularity. We are doing a crazy calculation on the profiles mostly based on reactions by other profiles to your profile. The popularity formula is top secret of course and might be adjusted and fine-tuned. Voting will still be part of the popularity ranking, but not the only element it’s based on.

Badge Icons

There are new icons to identify different kinds of battles. When a B-Boy has battled in a Cypher, Qualifier or World Final he will get a battle badge. Participating in a battle is very important for the B-Boy's popularity. The Red Bull BC One All Stars have a badge of their own.

Youtube Video copy/paste
You no longer have to upload your videos. Instead you can copy any of your videos from Youtube and paste into your profile. This also works with Vimeo. Sorry, but your old videos can not be migrated to the new system.

Social Signup & Social Login

New users can easily sign up by connecting their existing social network account to the Red Bull BC One Website. So you no longer have to remember your password and confirm your e-mail address to sign up. Existing users can also connect their social network profiles to their Red Bull BC One account for easier login.

“Light” User

You no longer have to create a full featured B-Boy profile to join the conversation. You just have to click twice (identify yourself via social sign up) to write a comment. As a "light" user your comments will be linked to your social network profile. You can of course upgrade your light account to a B-Boy profile. All new users start as light users, upgrading to a full B-Boy profile is easy. The light user is just in it to chat. The B-Boy user has his own profile to present himself in various ways.

New Battle Types

The Red Bull BC One is getting more serious. Besides the World Final there are now preliminary rounds: "Cypher Battles" (first level) and "Qualifier Battles" (second levels). More info on this soon.


The Red Bull BC One All Stars will be integrated
Starting in March, we will no longer run the website "redbullbconeallstars.com". Everything related to the Red Bull BC One All Stars will be found here.

I can't login to the new website anymore!

Maybe you have forgotten your password, as it was stored in the browser and you didn't have to type it in any more? Please check the preferences of your browser. Or you have been here so often that your browser cookie never expired and you didn't have to login any more? Also check your browser’s preferences, or use the "I have forgotten my password" function on the login page.

My Videos are all gone!
Sorry, due to technical restriction we are unable to import them.

Where can I upload a new profile icon?

Click on the profile icon on your profile page.
