Battle Hierarchy

1. Cyphers: National preliminary events. The winners proceed to 6 Regional Finals.

2. Regional Finals: Regional events where the winners of Cyphers from several countries battle each other for a place in the World Final.

3. World Final: The winners of the 6 Regional Finals, the officiating champion and 9 nominated B-Boys battle for the title of World Champion

In 2013, we expect to have more than 50 Cyphers all over the world!
Some will be open Cyphers, where everybody can compete, some will be invitational. 16 B-Boys will be invited by Red Bull, who work closely together with the scene heads in the respective countries to figure out who are the worthiest B-Boys for the competitions.

But even if you won’t be selected to battle in your national Red Bull BC One Cypher, you will still have the chance to participate by coming out to the event to cheer on your local heroes.

B-Boys can only compete in their country of citizenship and only can compete in one cypher per year. The winners of the national Cyphers will then go on to battle in 6 Regional Finals. These Regional Finals will be held in Egypt (for Middle East & Africa), Italy (for Western Europe), Ukraine (for East Europe), Colombia (for Latin America), Japan (for Asia & Oceania), and in Houston for the USA.

The winners of these 6 Regional Finals will gain a spot in the Red Bull BC One World Final in Korea.
